Abu Dhabi, UAE

Earlier this year, I travelled to Abu Dhabi with my Mom and Dad. I was going through some major life changes, and this trip was exactly what I needed - a warm, peaceful escape from the depressing depths of winter back home in Toronto, as well as a chance to reconnect with myself.

We stayed at the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas on Saadiyat Island, and it was truly one of the most incredible hotels I’ve ever experienced. Saadiyat Island is a natural island and cultural destination just off the coast of Abu Dhabi, known for its expansive beaches, powder-white sand, and crystal-clear azure waters. Beyond its natural beauty, Saadiyat Island is also home to an incredible collection of galleries and museums - a cultural side of the island that I’ll share more about later.

We spent five days soaking it all in - lounging by the pool, relaxing on the beach, and embracing the quiet beauty of our surroundings. We only left the resort when we had planned tours, because honestly, why would we? The grounds were absolutely breathtaking, and the infinity pool was a highlight that truly speaks for itself. I tried to capture the beauty of the resort, but the photos just don’t do it justice. You’ll have to see for yourself.
