We stayed at the Doric Boutique Hotel in Agrigento, a luxury eco-hotel situated in the heart of UNESCO’s Valley of the Temples. Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the grounds, including the gardens where the hotel grows its own herbs and vegetables on site. Sustainability is at the heart of the property, with the hotel utilizing photovoltaic and thermal energy, as well as a phyto-purification system. I fell in love with photographing the landscape here - there were so many beautiful colours, textures, and little details to capture.
The majestic Valle dei Templi is an absolute must-visit in Agrigento. Considered one of the greatest examples of Ancient Greek art and architecture, the archaeological site is remarkably preserved and offers an incredible glimpse into Sicily’s ancient past. The tour was long, but definitely worth it!
