Rose's Warm Winter House Show

Earlier this year, my dear friend Rose hosted the coziest show I've ever been to in her own home. This winter warmer was the perfect respite from the relentless, bitter cold, and an intimate way to hear some of Toronto's emerging musical talent. Rose herself is a talented singer/songwriter and performed alongside accomplished local artists Henry Nozuka, Anna Horvath of Merival, Sheila Hart of Common Deer, and Daniel Walker of Owen Meany's Batting Stance. I can't think of a better way to spend one of the coldest weekends in recent history than with talented friends, hot cider, and good music.

Evergreen Brickworks Winter Village

Christmas may be over, but the city continues to embrace the holiday spirit. Recently I stopped by Evergreen Brickworks to visit the Winter Village before it's close at the end of the year. Despite the freezing temperatures in Toronto these past few days, my afternoon hike through the property was a lovely respite from the couch. Evergreen Brickworks is one of my favourite places in the city to photograph, as each season offers a new perspective - whether that be a different viewpoint or the changing foliage.
