In the Studio

I recently attended a Studio Lighting Workshop at Studio 311 hosted by James Ogilvie, a Toronto photographer who teaches at the Henry's Learning Lab. The six-hour workshop covered the different types of photographic lighting (continuous, strobe, natural light, etc.), specific lighting set-ups to achieve particular looks, and tips for shooting models, including retouching techniques. This was my first time using studio lighting and shooting professional models, and it was the most fun I've ever had with my camera.

The beautiful models are Madeleine Fay Heaven and Daria Sells.

Kristie & Sean

This past December I had the pleasure of photographing Kristie, Sean, and their new puppy Louie in Toronto’s High Park. That morning, a dense fog had descended upon the city, resulting in a misty, overcast glow throughout the grounds: perfect lighting for taking pictures. Kristie and Sean are both such kind and generous individuals, and their love and patience for Louie was just the cutest thing. What a happy family.
