Berlin. What a city. What an overwhelming city. It is impossible to see all of Berlin in a day. Actually, it is probably impossible to see all of Berlin in one week. Bigger (in area) than New York City, Berlin is a metropolis rich in history, art, and culture. It is a city of contrasts; of East and West, of old and new, of extravagant, classic architectural wonders ravaged by bullet holes, and of beautifully graffitied facades among busy public squares. Berlin is truly an amazing place.
This is Not a Toy
This weekend I finally checked out This is Not a Toy, a new exhibition at the Design Exchange. Curated by Pharrell, this exhibit displays work by artists/designers KAWS, Takashi Murakami, and many others. It was amazing seeing these pieces in real life; the internet does not do them justice. Definitely something worth checking out!
